EFSF vessels attack the hijacked Island Iffish and the Zeon fleet defending it. Having determined Jaburo as the operation’s target, Luna 2 launches a nuclear-armed fleet under Vice Admiral Tianem to intercept the projectile.

Tianem’s forces engage the Zeon fleet many times over the next few days, but structural reinforcements added to the colony during its conversion are enough to keep it largely intact at this point.

Opening his door quietly, he nearly yelped in terror when he spotted the pale girl staring at him. In the hall's lowlight, she appeared practically colourless, with white blonde hair that was nearly the same colour as her robe. Her eyes were dark grey, like wet cement. She resembled bleached bone, a ghost of old. He recognized her as one of Harry’s childhood companions, one of his handmaidens.

She shook her head at him.

"Don't follow him." She spoke gently, her gaze drifting towards the wall opposite his door. She sounded sad and regretful.

“Follow who?” Sirius questioned.

"They've turned the poor thing into a god, not understanding the consequences." She responded softly, ignoring his inquiry.

“Consequences? Are you talking about Harry?” Sirius felt a wave of panic at the girl’s words, not understanding. She stared at him unblinking, something strange peering out from behind her eyes—surely a trick of the light.

"Don’t follow him. You'll regret it.” With her bare feet silent on the carpet, she slipped into Harry's room and vanished almost as swiftly as she had emerged. As if she had never been there at all.

He should heed her warning. His mother had drilled into him the importance of listening to weirding women before he had ever set foot in Hogwarts. The Blacks had always known that magic moved through some of its children in incomprehensible ways. Whoever that girl was, she was touched by the gods.

recently feeling frustrated by the (unsurprising) lack of women in Call of Duty

anyway my wlw ship for MWII is Luna and Calisto

They're on opposite teams so they're supposed to not like each other but any time they cross paths Luna's like "omg it's Calisto" and everyone on Specgru just rolls their eyes. They can all recite Luna's little info dump speech about how cool Calisto is and how she uses a bow and arrow and could have gone to the Olympics for that but non-moving targets are too boring for her.

Calisto, who is still figuring out her sexuality, is confused by the adoring looks Luna gives her. Like sure, people look at her in awe all the time because she's so beautiful and talented, but this is different. And it makes her want to impress Luna for some reason. She starts getting defensive if Kortac members bad mouth any Specgru Ops Luna might have been on. Heaven forbid someone say something about Luna specifically; Calisto will glare them down until they apologize and/or leave.

Has Calisto acknowledged her feelings and change in behavior around Luna? Has Luna actually approached her outside of work settings? Of course not! We're still in the pining stages baby! What's a good ship without a lot of pining!?!

small note regarding neville’s dancing skills + his feelings about attending parties / events from the goblet of fire, because i would like to lean in on the movie’s interpretation of this event. i like that neville gathering the courage when other boys had turned away from practising dancing was sort of, in its way, a foreshadowing of how much it took for him to earn his bravery — which, for neville, was not easy. he tried anyway. so i’d like to believe he did took all those dancing lessons quite seriously and he practised plenty with himself. maybe he accidentally stepped on ginny’s foot twice or twice when the night arrived, but i think otherwise it went on perfectly.

on that regard, while attending such a large event was initially scary for him, i have always interpreted that neville did enjoy himself very much. watching the movie again only cemented this headcanon further. however, adding my own twist to it, i do believe whole heartedly having ginny as his date for the night helped tremendously a lot. ginny was naturally charismatic, enthusiastic, and she opened neville’s eyes plenty about other things to enjoy in events like that beyond simply being an object to potentially be stared at. they were interactive, having fun, going around and trying food and genuinely socialising. it was a good night.

which is all to say, this night alone shaped neville’s reception of formal events like these into something… pleasant, almost. fond. not so nerve-wrecking, at least. as the scion of the longbottom household, and her grandmother’s heir, neville officially debuts into society at age twenty-five, much later than peers his age, though nevertheless he is almost charming at these formal events. a bit timid than the average wizarding aristocrat perhaps, though there is that easiness and social eagerness to want to mingle that he learns from ginny from that first yule ball anyhow.

oh, don’t be so serious, neville, she’d told him in that memory long time ago, linking their arms together, her freckled face grinning wide. just have fun!
